BELMOTA Rules & Eligibility

BELMOTA is administered directly by Belgium Outdoor Shack (BOS!), using an internationally recognized mill reference numbering system, ensuring a fair and consistent award program.

Official References – All Belgian mills use a unique, internationally recognized reference number.
Eligible Activations – Every activation is eligible for BELMOTA credit.
One Standard – By following an established international reference numbering system, your activations count according to a well-established and respected system.

BELMOTA Activation Rules

A single activation may qualify for multiple or unlimited mill references, provided that all references are activated from the same operating location.
To qualify for BELMOTA Activator credit, a minimum of 33 valid QSOs must be completed during each activation. Hunter credits remain valid regardless of the number of QSOs made by the activator.
The activation must take place within line of sight of the activated reference(s) and at a maximum distance of 350 metres from the reference(s). Activators are encouraged to operate as close to the reference as reasonably practical.
Activators must upload their logs directly through the BELMOTA website via the Login page in order to receive Activator credit.
After each activation, activators are requested to provide confirmation of the activation together with a photograph of the activated mill. This may be sent to info@belgiumoutdoorshack.be or shared on the Belgium Outdoorshack (BOS) Facebook page.
All BELMOTA awards are free of charge and are available exclusively in digital PDF format.
BELMOTA relies on the honesty, integrity and fair play of all participants. The BELMOTA team reserves the right to reject or invalidate activations, QSOs or award claims that do not comply with the rules. Decisions regarding the validity of activations and awards are final and will not be subject to discussion.
